Laura North Voyages
A luxury division of WorldWide Travel Team
Luxury ocean and river cruises, planned by one advisor who treats your trip like it's the most important one of your year. Custom Europe itineraries and luxury rail journeys, too.
What makes a luxury cruise advisor different?
Anyone can book a cruise online. Very few advisors will tell you the honest tradeoffs before you commit. Here's how I work.
Firsthand knowledge, not brochure knowledge
I don't recommend a ship or itinerary I haven't personally vetted, whether through sailing it myself, a ship tour, or planning it closely for clients. When we talk about cabin categories like a Neptune Suite versus a Vista Suite, I can walk you through the real differences, not just what the brochure says.
Relationship first, transaction second
Most of my clients come back and refer friends. That only happens when someone feels heard and looked after, not upsold. I plan the trip that fits you.
Honest about tradeoffs
Every ship, line, and season has strengths and compromises. I'll tell you where a lower category cabin makes sense and where it truly doesn't, before you book.
Every trip is significant
Whether it's a first cruise or a 40th anniversary, the planning gets the same attention. You get direct access to me, not a queue.
Where I focus, and why.
Cruising is the core of what I do. Everything else supports the way my clients travel the rest of the year.

Luxury Ocean Cruises
My primary specialty. Small-ship and premium sailings on Oceania, Silversea, Seabourn, Regent, Viking Ocean, Windstar, Virgin Voyages, Explora Journeys, and Princess, matched to how you actually travel.

+
I plan and book cruises and multi-country trips end to end. That includes matching you with the right cruise line and ship for how you actually travel, coordinating pre and post-cruise stays, air, transfers, dining, excursions, and being your point of contact if anything shifts before or during the trip. You get a real person who knows the product, not a call center.
Does it cost more to book through a travel advisor?
+
No. My planning services are complimentary for the vast majority of cruise and cruise-and-land itineraries. Cruise lines build a travel advisor fee into the cost of the cruise whether you book through me or not, so working with me doesn't add to your price. In most cases I can also access amenities, category upgrades, or onboard credit that clients booking direct don't see. For fully custom itinerary planning I'm transparent about any planning fees before we begin.
What cruise lines does Laura North Voyages work with?
+
My primary luxury and premium partners include Oceania, Silversea, Seabourn, Regent, Viking Ocean, Windstar, Virgin Voyages, Explora Journeys, and Princess, where I hold Commodore status. On rivers, AmaWaterways is my primary specialty and where I hold a river specialist certification, and I also book Viking, Uniworld, and Avalon Waterways. I recommend based on what fits you, not a preferred-vendor quota.
How far in advance should I book a luxury cruise?
+
For luxury and small-ship sailings, 12 to 18 months out is ideal, and popular itineraries like Alaska glacier sailings, the Mediterranean in shoulder season, and holiday river cruises often sell out earlier. Last-minute is possible, but you lose leverage on cabin category, dining reservations, and pre-cruise hotels.
Do you help with river cruises or only ocean cruises?
+
Both. Ocean cruises are my primary specialty, and river cruises are a close second. I sail AmaWaterways most often and hold a specialist certification with them, and I also book Viking, Uniworld, and Avalon Waterways depending on what fits the trip. Many of my clients alternate between the two depending on the year, and I sail the ships myself so I can speak to real differences in stateroom layouts, dining, and excursion styles.
What areas do you serve?
+
I'm based in Southern California and work with clients across the United States. Almost everything happens by phone, video, and email, so where you live doesn't limit the planning. I don't book one-off domestic flights or hotel stays on their own. I do plan domestic rail journeys like Rocky Mountaineer, escorted group tours, and domestic legs that are part of a larger cruise or custom itinerary.
What clients say about working with Laura.
“Laura did an amazing job and was very thorough. She was always available if we had any questions and made sure all necessary documents arrived on time. Every detail of our Viking river cruise was perfectly planned! We will always make our travel arrangements through her.”
“Being our first ever cruise with many questions, Laura was very helpful, answered ALL my questions and always said if I had more let her know. We had a great time celebrating our 45th Wedding Anniversary with our kids and grandchildren. The grandchildren are already asking when we will take them again.”
“Our advisor, Laura North, was extremely helpful in arranging our Panama Canal cruise, answering all questions and providing any necessary information, with timely reminders of approaching deadlines for payment and booking possible excursions. She proved to be extremely knowledgeable about our ports of call, as previously confirmed; this is the second cruise which we have booked with her, the prior one being a Mediterranean cruise one year ago, coincidentally on the same ship.”
